Unable to Revert Changes Made to Default Email Address in the Notifications Tool Email

Issue

After changing or deleting the email address from the Notifications tool, you are no longer able to revert the change back to the System Email default, which is your OCC email address.

Impact

Students and faculty who have deleted or changed the default email address in the D2L Notification tool.

Workaround

You are still able to set a custom email address for Notifications. This custom email address can be set to the same value as the system email.

  1. Click the dropdown arrow next to your name in the upper right corner of D2L.
  2. Click Notifications.
  3. Click Change your email settings.
  4. Click Use custom email.
  5. Enter the listed system email in the Use custom email box.
  6. Click Save.
  7. Click Save.
