Body
Internet browsers have the ability to save passwords. These are typically kept in a non-encrypted, plain text format. It is strongly recommended that you do not use your browser's password saving feature as it is not a secure password manager.
Google Chrome
- Go to the Chrome menu button (3 vertical dots, top right corner)
- Click Settings
- Select Autofill
- Select Passwords. In this menu, you can see all your saved passwords.
- To view a password, click show password button (eyeball image). You will need to enter your computer password.
- To remove a saved password, click on the 3-dot menu and choose Remove.
Mozilla Firefox
- Select the Firefox menu (upper right corner)
- Select Logins and Passwords
- Search or scroll to find the login info you wish to see/change.
- To view a password, click on the eyeball image.
- To remove a saved password, click on the Remove button.
Safari
- Click the Safari menu button (top left of the screen, next to the Apple logo)
- Select Preferences
- Choose Passwords tab
- You will be prompted to enter your computer password to see the list of saved passwords.
- To view a password, click on it in the list.
- To remove a password, choose it from the list of passwords and select the remove button in the bottom right corner.
Microsoft Edge
- From the Window's Start Menu search for and open the Control Panel application.
- Select User Accounts (top right corner)
- The second section listed will be titled Credential Manager, in this section select the Manage Web Credentials link.
- Search or scroll to find the login info you wish to see/change.
- To view a password, click the arrow next to the website you want, then click Show next to the Password line.
- To remove a password, click the arrow next to the website you want, then click Remove.
