This document will guide you through resetting your OCC account password when the password is expiring. This method can be done and does not require a connection to the OCC network. If any of the below steps do not work:
For students, please call the Student Technical Help Desk at 248-341-2300.
For staff, please call your Support Center
- If your password is expired, you will be prompted to change it the next time you log into the Okta Dashboard (https://oaklandcc.okta.com) or any other application that authenticates through Okta via a supported web browser.
When prompted, enter your OCC username and click Next
- Depending on your location and behavior, you may be prompted for just a password or you may be prompted for your strong authentication factor such as Okta Verify push or code, SMS code, or phone call.
- A message stating your password has expired will appear.
Change your password by entering a New password and Re-enter password then click Change Password
Your password is now reset and you will be able to log in with your new password going forward.
