Configure Pulse Push Notifications

Overview

Brightspace Pulse sends push notifications to keep you informed about updates in your courses. These notifications eliminate the need to manually check for updates and include information from:

  • Announcements
  • Activity Feed
  • Grades
  • Quizzes
  • Assignments
  • Course Content

Enable or Disable Push Notifications

  1. Sign in to the Brightspace Pulse app (opens in new tab) using your MyOCC username and password.
  2. From the Pulse home screen, tap the Oakland Community College icon in the top-left corner.

  3. Tap Settings.

  4. Under Notification Options, tap Push Notifications.

  5. Scroll down and use the toggles to turn notifications on or off for each category.

D2L notifications control how you receive information about course activity. It is recommended that you set up notifications to alert you by email or text message when there is new activity in your courses. These settings does not apply to Pulse notifications.
