How to Uninstall and Install Honorlock Google Chrome Extension

Overview

Due to some recent updates in May 2020, Honorlock recommends that you uninstall and reinstall the Honorlock extension to ensure the best possible experience.

Uninstall Honorlock Extension

  1. Launch your Google Chrome browser.
  2. In the top right of your Chrome browser and look for a shield with a check mark in the center.
  3. Right click on the shield with the check mark in the center.
  4. Click Remove from Chrome...

​​​​​​If you do not see the Honorlock icon, a shield with a check mark in the center, check the Google Chrome Extensions.

  1. Left click on the puzzle piece icon in Google Chrome.
  2. Look for the Honorlock extension from the list.
  3. Left click on the three vertical dots next to the Honorlock Google Chrome extension.
  4. Select Remove from Chrome...

​​​​​​If neither of these options are available in your Google Chrome browser, you may not have Honorlock installed. Please check here to see if you have Honorlock installed. If not, you will be prompted to install the Honorlock Chrome Extension.

Install Honorlock

Here are the steps to install the Honorlock Chrome Extension.

  1. Navigate to the Honorlock Chrome Extension download page.
  2. Please make sure to read and check the box that says, "I agree to Honorlock's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy".
  3. Click the Add Extension button.

  1. A new Google Chrome tab will open to the Honorlock extension in the Chrome Web Store.  
  2. Click the Add to Chrome button.

  1. A small pop-up window will ask you to confirm your selection.

  1. Click Add Extension to proceed.

Once completed, you will see the Honorlock Chrome Extension in the upper right hand corner of your Google Chrome browser.
