Student Software Remote Access - Windows

 

  1. Download the latest VM Horizon Client 
     
  2. Under VMware Horizon Client for Windows
    Click Go To Downloads

  3. Click Download Now

    ""
     
  4. Depending on the browser Click Run

    ""
     
  5. Click Yes
     
  6. Click Agree & Install

    ""
     
  7. Click Finish

    ""

     
  8. Click Restart Now to reboot the system

    ""
     
  9. If you are going to use a USB drive to save data when working in the VDI machine, insert it in the physical machine now. It needs to be installed on physical device before the Virtual machine starts.
     
  10. Double click VMware Horizon Client icon on desktop

    ""
     
  11. Double click Add Server

    ""
     
  12. Type in apps.oaklandcc.edu for the name of the Connection Server 
    Click Connect

    ""
     
  13. Click Accept

    ""
     
  14. Enter your OCC User name and Password
    Click Login

    ""

  15. The Horizon Client will show all the VDI machines and applications that you have rights to use 
    IMPORTANT! Need to configure the VDI machine to use VMware Blast Protocol 
    Right Click on VDI machine and Click VMware Blast - “App-Test” is a sample yours will be different

  16. Double Click VDI machine to start the Virtual Machine

    *Note - Make sure to insert USB drive into physical machine before starting VDI machine

In order to use the Adobe XD application, it will need to be installed after logging into your virtual session. Follow the instructions for Adobe XD Access
