Restricted File Types

Overview

D2L restricts a number of file types from being able to be uploaded for security reasons and to help ensure expected functionality is experienced by you.

Restricted File Types

For the most up to date list of restricted file types, review D2L's Restricted MIME list.

Workaround

In some circumstances, an instructor may require a student to submit a file type that is on D2L's restricted file type list. In these instances, it is advised to reach out to your instructor for recommendations.
