Pre-Daylight, Announcements was labeled News. Use the Announcements tool to read instructor messages, course information, and other Announcements updates.

Pre-Daylight, this tool was labeled Dropbox. The Assignments tool enables you to submit assignments in D2L.

The Chat tool is a real-time, text-based collaboration tool. You can use the Chat tool to brainstorm ideas, hold a question and answer period, have a debate or discussion, or organize a remote study group.

Use the Classlist to view who is enrolled in your course and send email.

Use the Content tool to access course materials, complete required activities, and monitor your completion progress on topics contained within each course module.

The D2L Student Helpdesk is available 24 x 7 to provide students technical support for the D2L system.

The Discussions tool is a collaboration area where you can post, read, and reply to messages on different topics, share thoughts about course materials, ask questions, share files, or work with your peers on assignments and homework.

The Email tool allows you to send email from within D2L.

Use the Grades tool on the navigation bar to check your grades on assignments and tests.

Frequently Asked Questions and System Requirements - D2L Students

With D2L you can access online course materials and activities, as well as collaborate with your instructor and other students from your home, office or anywhere with an Internet connection. From your mobile device, stay current with assignment changes as D2L's Mobile Web provides instant access to campus news, announcements, events and deadlines the minute they are posted.

Locating D2L Student Support

Information on where to find D2L technical support for students may be found on various OCC sites and web pages.

Navigating My Home, Settings and Course Home

After you log into D2L, you'll find yourself on the D2L My Home page. Found at the top of D2L's My Home page is the Minibar. It contains the tools to help you navigate the D2L system or search for your D2L courses, as well as update your D2L profile, notifications and account settings.

Unsubscribing from D2L Notifications

While the D2L Notifications tool can be useful, some users may not want to receive emails and/or text messages for every change and announcement in their courses. This document is intended to assist users in disabling those emails and/or text messages
