Taking a Quiz

Overview

When asked by an instructor to take a quiz in D2L, knowing the process—as well as what you can and cannot do—is important.

When taking quizzes:

  • Make sure you have a reliable internet connection (best from a wired connection).
  • Save each question answer as you go.

Here's How

Option 1

  1. Once  you enter your course, click Content found on the navigation bar.
  2. Click on a module (e.g. Week 1), locate the quiz and then click on the quiz's name (e.g. Week One Quiz).
  3. At the top of the Quiz Details page, you will see a summary of details, which includes the quiz period, time allowed and number of attempts allowed (e.g. Quiz Period Available on Jun 26, 2018 4:15 PM until Jul 3, 2018 11:30 PM, Time Allowed 0:15:00 and Attempts Allowed - 1 Completed 0).

Note: Your instructor configures the quiz settings so check with your instructor if you have any questions.

  4. Scroll down on the Quiz Details page to read the Instructions (e.g. You cannot move backwards once you leave a page. You can "Save" your response to each question).

  5. Click the Start Quiz button when you are ready to begin.
Note: Depending on the questions and your internet connection, your quiz may take a few seconds to load on the page.

  6. When the quiz opens, review the quiz information at the top (e.g. Time Limit: 0:20:00, Time Left: 0:15:36); then begin the quiz by answering the question (e.g. clicking the radio button next to the correct answer).
