Software Remote Access – Student iOS Devices

Omnissa provides users a secure, encrypted connection for remote access to virtual desktops and applications from various devices. These steps will connect you to your virtual desktop through workspace.oaklandcc.edu.

**NOTE** OCC Virtual Desktop sessions are refreshed at logoff/disconnect and any files saved locally will be lost. OCC recommends saving all files either to your Google Drive or to a flash drive, not the OCC virtual desktop.

1. Open a web browser on a computer and go to workspace.oaklandcc.edu
2. Click Omnissa Horizon Web Client
   
    
3. Enter in your OCC username
   Your OCC username is before the @ symbol in your email address
   Click Next
   
    
4. Verify with Okta multi-factor authentication method and enter your OCC password.
   Click Verify
   
    
5. Click the three dots under your pool selection (OCC Student, CIS, CAD) and select Launch from Client
   
   Note: If the client is not installed on your device, please follow the instructions to install the client.

Installing Omnissa Horizon Client

1. Open a web browser on a computer and go to workspace.oaklandcc.edu

2. Select Install Omnissa Horizon Client
   
    
3. Locate Omnissa Horizon Client for iOS
   Select Go to Downloads
   
    
4. Select Download Now
   Note: This will take you to the Apple App Store
   
    
5. Select Get
   
    
6. Select Install
   
    
7. Enter your Apple ID Password
   
   Once completed, you should see the Open option in the App Store
